Our Story

Who is Bloodmane Books?

Well, that’s simple we are a family run book publishing company.

Why we exist is a little more fun of a story?

My husband lost someone last year, and it got his wheels spinning about what he wanted to leave for our 4 kids and myself. He is a stay at home dad that does marketing and graphic design for a living and is very creative, but he’s always wanted to write because he loves telling stories and entertaining people. Last December, just before Christmas, he was sitting there, and we had this conversation about legacies and such. He told me he loved writing when he was younger but gave up on that dream because he always says “I am awful at grammar, and I have never been an avid reader, who would read my stuff anyway?”, but I told him he should just try it once. Well, two weeks later, just after Christmas, he handed me Her Name Was Rose, dedicated to his grandmas who he loved dearly. I read the book, and I became addicted. I got to see into my husband’s mind a little and see a story that was born of him. I LOVED IT. I wanted more. I finished it the day he handed it to me ( it was riddled with spelling errors which was adorable, but it was so good. ) and then I gave him “the look”. All my readers out there know the one I am talking about. It’s a look or that you get after reading something and you want more. It’s like an addiction. You start almost salivating, wanting to know more about this imaginary story. You become attached to the characters and have a real feeling for them.

Well, that is what happened when I read his first book and it has only got worse since then. I told him I wanted more, and like any enabler, he fed my addiction. He wrote Welcome to Murder World – Book 1 in a month. I couldn’t put it down. I asked for more. Two months later, he finished the sequel. Then two months after that, he finished the trilogy. And I was there reading every chapter as soon as he wrote it. Then he went back and wrote a sequel to Her Name Was Rose. Ahh! I was all in. I knew I needed to share them with the world. So, I had him make a company. He loves wolves and his fake last name when he plays games is always Bloodmane so here we are.

He is now on his 6th book this year and I am so proud of him. I asked him why are you writing so fast? What is driving you?

His reply was simple – I am doing this for all my girls. ❤
